NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a molecule found in every cell in the body which enables mitochondria to “power” metabolism. It is a derivative of vitamin B3 and is required for a number of functions at a cellular level. Mitochondria are the power stations of cells, and NAD+ can enable the mitochondria to turn off genes which accelerate aging.
